Ronnie210
Hello all, I'm looking to get some PRP treatment to boost my H/T results. Is there a gold standard for PRP treatment and what are the things I should be looking out for? -Is there a way to qualify the concentration of PRP (number of platelets)? -What is the number of injections one should expect to receive in one session to cover front/mid/crown areas? -How many sessions of PRP should be undertaken and at what frequency to achieve optimal results? -Any other questions which should be asked ahead of this treatment? I greatly appreciate your answers on this topic...Many thanks!
Senior Member shiba1985 Posted August 14, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted August 14, 2022 1) 4 - 6 x baseline platelets. 2) in theory one injection per cm2. so usually should focus on a small area like 60cm2 or something. unrealistic to do the WHOLE scalp. ( i think i may be wrong) 3) once a month for 3 months followed by every 6 months. if no results after 6-9 months then dont continue 4) ask the provider. have they assessed the quality of their prp. Do they activate it with anything prior to injecting. I feel like it should be activated for better results. not all providers do this.
