Senior Member SimpleLife Posted June 19, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted June 19, 2022 (edited) How do fue scars look with a tan on the chest & beard and recipient? I tan very easily, lets say 1000 grafts were extracted from my chest, will it look bad even tho they are undetectable without a tan? Senior Member mafpe Posted June 19, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted June 19, 2022 Scar tissue lacks melanin, thus thry don't tan. If currently it's undetectable, then how detectable it is will depend on punch size, location, and how much you tan.

Valued Contributor Gatsby Posted June 19, 2022 Valued Contributor Share Posted June 19, 2022 It depends upon the punch size, how sporadically they have been harvested, your genes in how you heal, etc. No two people are the same. I had grafts taken from my chest and the scars were red for at least the first three months. They have continued to improve to the point where they are not noticeable to me anymore.
