Oral + topical finasteride/dutasteride

Hello,

Does anyone here have any experience of using oral finasteride/dutasteride and then using a topical minox/finasteride solution as well?

I understand that the topical doesn't really effect DHT levels that dramatically so wondered whether they could in theory be combined for better results?

Is there an issue with simply taking oral Dut? 

Is there a reason is has to be so complicated?

I've been on oral dut for 2-3 years but frontal hairline still receding and can see hairs miniaturising... just wondered whether direct topical minox with fin would give an extra defence and whether people had also done this.
