Hi,

Thank you for all the information and responses. Today I did the deed. Just out of surgery. I went with Dr Turan of FUECap. It was a great experience. I will update some photos and detail my experience soon. Just fresh out and feeling a bit done in.

Take it easy and make rest your priority. Don't worry about updating us until you are well and ready.

Wishing you the best on a good outcome. I think you came to the right place, hopefully the choice is solid and you will get the desired outcome. Good luck!

So,

For those interested here is the work I had done.

I have kept a little recession. I think it matches my age. A mature hairline rather than a juvenile hairline. This was the 1st drawn up by Dr Turan based on my desires. I was happy to proceede with it, and if I get all growth from where it is. I'll be on top of the world. Even though I look like I've been scalped. The joy I feel looking at a solid hairline again is amazing. Some imagination required at this stage, though I'm sure the time will fly by.

I'll briefly talk about the day. Questions are welcomed about anything I may miss.

In the briefing and pre op. The team went through my donor density, average hairs per graft. They evaluated the best places to harvest without damaging my donor area. The analysis was very detailed in my opinion, it met all the standards I had researched.

One side was genuinely better than the other, so the weaker one was harvested less. The back was better than both. Contained more tripples and doubles and had better thickness. So again. Being told this was good news. I felt safe they were going to do right by me and not just have at it anywhere.

Hairline design I mentioned. Still some maturity, but definitely more full. They measured my face for proportion, the center part was as it should be. So they worked it out from there. Seeing it in the mirror. I did wonder weather to have it say 5mm lower on the temples. Probably how it was when I was 18. However, I mulled it over. I didn't want it to be so obvious I had the work done. Also. Density is more important to me than where the hairline sits, as I likely will grow my hair longish.

The procedure.

The NEEDLES! They aren't for the faint of heart tbh. I was given pre anesthetic. Before the big guns. Its like being shot in the head with a BB gun I guess. Its not that bad. Its just not that great either. By far the worst part. So get through that and it's alright.

Extraction. Eat Fruit. Implantation. Eat Lunch, Extraction, eat fruit, implantation.

They made sure I was ok through all of it. Topped up my anesthetic if I said I felt the slightest pinch. The team did the extraction. Dr Turan the implantation. I fell asleep a few times. Which was great. Because it is a long day and I love naps.

All in all. Amazing experience. It was nerve wracking doing so far for it, but so worth it. The team and Dr's professionalism and dedication to the cause is fantastic. A real rep building around FUECAPILAR and I can see why.

I enjoyed a few days in turkey prior to the surgery. Would definitely go back. FYI, use uber unless your really prepared to argue your taxi fare. Some will rip you off. But aside from that one poor experience which is unrelated to the HT, its a 10 from me.

Now the long road to recovery and hopefully a booming head of hair. I have a routine to follow, Creams, shampoos and other things to do for a few weeks. I will update maybe in 30 days. See where I'm at then.

Looks great so far, how many grafts if you don’t mind me asking?

Funnily enough I live in Manchester and just today sent a message to Dr Gur at Fuecapilar, they do have a good rep at the moment.

Your work looks solid yet "odd" and i don't mean that in any disrespectful way just to clarify. The frontal hairline for example is exactly as you said, mature for an age appropriate look but i meant the graft placement behind that almost circle like. I have seen some people have little areas of loss here and there around the front but it looks like you maybe had more into the midscalp they could see needed to be reinforce. People always talk about a "pattern" of hair loss but your pictures are a great example of why we need clinics who do all those checks you mentioned so they could properly place your grafts.

Good luck with the recovery and just tough out that first week!

It's hopefully all slow and steady till month 12.

Hi,

Approx 2.2k, they are going to send me all the breakdown of the surgery in the next few weeks. They said that it works out to be around 4.5 to 5k of hairs. I think. Based on 2.3 - 2.4 hairs per graft. I'm going off memory, so dont quote me just yet. When I have the exact details I'll update you. Gur is getting some good reviews, good luck on your journey.

Hi

Yer, so temples were my main focus. I had noticed the mid section was a bit thin though. I could see it, my hair hid it well though. The way in which it grows also highlights it. They did microscopic photography of my scalp and identified hairs at the end of their life cycle. So temples and some mid section were done.

Like you said. More reinforcement in some areas. The aim was to give me what I want and prevent me coming back for a second surgery so soon.

I am really hopeful that it will do the job and I hopefully won't need another for the next few years. Tho. I'll probably start a savings account for one just incase lol. Damn genetics.

Thanks
