Regular Member pomloe Posted June 21, 2021 Regular Member Share Posted June 21, 2021 I was reading and researching saying most of those hair regrowth and biotin shampoos really do nothing to stimulate hair growth. I also read that the only shampoo that would help improve growth or density is a shampoo that contains Ketoconazole, is this true?
Senior Member ITA Posted June 22, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted June 22, 2021 Ketaconazole shampoo is still a medicine, I don't think it can give you advantages in hair growth in areas where there are no more follicles, but it is usually prescribed for certain scalp pathologies such as dermatitis or other. This is what I know.
Regular Member pomloe Posted June 22, 2021 Author Regular Member Share Posted June 22, 2021 But I read Ketaconazole is a DHT blocker and it helps with reducing hair loss?
Senior Member ITA Posted June 22, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted June 22, 2021 For regrowth I don't know, it a DHT blocker, but it is still a drug and should be used with caution, at most 2/3 times a week.
