HeadScratcher
I'm a 29 yr-old guy living in the US, NW 2-3 with 1500-2000 grafts needed. This is gonna be my first surgery in my life(therefore a little anxious). Already booked my flight and appointment confirmed. But still have a few questions: 1.I searched on the forum on cases done by Dr.Keser, recently only very few ppl posted compared to other doctors. I'm kinda curious why? 2.I'm asked to bring all cash as payment, is this expected? I feel a little unsafe to bring so much cash with me in a foreign country. Is there another way? 3.Related to question 2, how's travel safety in Turkey now? 4.Any chance a post-op visit would be needed after my trip? Then I have to fly over again? Does it ever happen and how often? Thanks a lot for help! I've learned so much from the forum. Edited January 23, 2019 by HeadScratcher
Regular Member HopefulRaven Posted January 22, 2019 Regular Member Share Posted January 22, 2019 Hi Headscratcher, Is there a reason why you chose Turkey and this doctor? I chose my clinic and doctor because they are in the same city as me (for post-op support), and they have a very strong reputation.
HeadScratcher
Hey HopefulRaven, It's based on a balance of cost and quality I would say. For Dr Keser I chose him because he seems to be pretty good with my hairloss case from all the results I can find on this and other forums. Did you end up visiting the clinic for post-op support? Yeah, I went back half a dozen times to get my hair washed and my scalp checked by my doctor. Edited January 23, 2019 by HopefulRaven
HeadScratcher
@HopefulRaven really? Then what do so many people who travel far away to get their surgery done do with with post-op care? So if it's just getting hair washed do you really need to go there? Can you just wash yourself?
Regular Member HopefulRaven Posted January 24, 2019 Regular Member Share Posted January 24, 2019 Yes, you can definitely wash it yourself I just appreciated having the clinic team do it (and check the scalp for me as well). Follow all of your doctor's instructions for post-op care, including washing. Good luck
