Is it safe to resume the use of Minoxidil 5% in ONLY the crown area immediately after surgery.

 

I understand that it is advised to wait 1-2 weeks before resuming use in and around the recipient area.

 

But, what do doctors advise for crown usage?

So nobody has pondered using it in the untouched crown area ONLY immmediately (within in days) post-op?

follow your docs instructions.

 

Otherwise, I would wait the two weeks and allow the transplanted part of the crown to heal prior to (re-)introducting minoxidil.

I wouldn't advise that.

Minoxidil migrates across the tissue. So if you put it in the crown, it could come across to the mid-scalp.

 

Just follow your doctor's instruction.
