Regular Member FollicularlyChallengedScar Posted May 21, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted May 21, 2009 Is it safe to resume the use of Minoxidil 5% in ONLY the crown area immediately after surgery. I understand that it is advised to wait 1-2 weeks before resuming use in and around the recipient area. But, what do doctors advise for crown usage? Regular Member FollicularlyChallengedScar Posted May 22, 2009 Author Regular Member Share Posted May 22, 2009 So nobody has pondered using it in the untouched crown area ONLY immmediately (within in days) post-op?
Senior Member Eman Posted May 22, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted May 22, 2009 follow your docs instructions. Otherwise, I would wait the two weeks and allow the transplanted part of the crown to heal prior to (re-)introducting minoxidil. My initial HT thread: done and done!! Check it out... Minoxidil migrates across the tissue. So if you put it in the crown, it could come across to the mid-scalp. Just follow your doctor's instruction. take care...
