Repair Surgeon Help

Recommended Posts

Hi, I had a transplant 12 years ago and I have some pitting that is very noticeble under bright lights, it makes me nervous that if I can tell others can too, In fact my 5 year old was close to my head the other day and she asked why i had holes in my head. I ahve lived with this for a while but I need to get this fixed, can anyone recommend a doc that is good at fixing this? I live in CA and will travel, but this time around I have to go to the best, I need to get past this problem. Also, is it fixable? There are about 15 or "pits" or "holes" that are in front, I was wondering if I could have those taken out and closed and possibly other grafts insereted at a later date? Any input or help would be greatly appreciated!

I've seen some amazing repair patients probably far worse off than you helped through Hasson and Wong. Go look up Jotronic's blog from H&W, he's a repair patient himself through Dr. Wong. He went from a disaster to a full head of hair with Dr. Wong's help. Also look into SMG with Dr. Ron and Paul Shapiro. I'm sure Dr. Arocha here would be a good one too.

Severn,

Of course Drs. Hasson, Wong, and the Shapiros are excellent surgeons and very capable of treating a minor case of pitting. My post was simply to answer this gentleman's questions; I am not suggesting that he should travel all the way from California to see me. Do not get me wrong, I am always more than happy to do anything I can to help. However, with many capable surgeons recommended in this network in closer proximity to this gentlemen's home, I think he might be better served if he visited them. Drs. Carman, Rassman, Reed, Ross and Gabel are some that I think he should consider.

Hi thank you Dr. Arocha for your input. I am relived to hear that this is something that is fixable, I have been living with it for a while now and I need to get it fixed. I appreciate you being considerate as to where I live, but I must ask, where are you located? Thank you again!
