FUE transplant in UK - help!

Recommended Posts

Hi guys

I'm planning on having an FUE transplant in the UK this summer and have a couple of questions. If anyone could give me informed advice I'd be really grateful :)

I booked a procedure with the Harley Street Hair Clinic after seeing some of the famous patients they've had (Wayne Rooney etc.) Dr. assigned to me is Dr A. Kovacheva who I was told has done over 3000 FUE procedures. They are meant to be a reputable clinic and certainly have some well known patients..

However after researching a little I can find very few pictures of Dr Kovacheva's work let alone comments on or descriptions of her procedures. In fact I can't find any mention of her at all on the web. Strange for 3000 ops...

From reading forums it seems knowing your Dr. beforehand and seeing before / after photos is important.

So now I am considering changing to Dr. Rahgu Reddy as he seems to be one of the best and most visible surgeons in the UK.

Can anyone comment on Dr A. Kovacheva, The Harley Street Clinic or give me general advice on the best FUE surgeons in the UK?

Thanks!

Dr Reddy has quite a lot of recommendations on here, from members who have had their procedure with him. The UK is quite expensive for getting a hair transplant, but Dr Reddy is highly regarded and i don't think you could go wrong with him.

For your information, I remember reading on here, that Dr Reddy also works out of another clinic, outside London, with the cost being reduced.

Have you considered going abroad?

Hey,

I was hoping to use a UK clinic also and seriously considered Dr Reddy. Have to say that the consultation I received by him was laughably bad. I could kind of understand it if I was a norwood 2 or 3 but I'm on the higher end of the scale so I would expect the consultation to be full of questions. I think he asked me one question - if that.

I've seen a few older comments on here that say the same thing. For that reason alone I would really urge you to think about whether he's the right choice.

I am now close to booking something in Brussels myself.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, Dr. Reddy does seem to be highly recommended by his patients.

Norwood 5, just out of interest, what are the questions you would have expected?

Have you considered Dr Farjo or Dr Ball at the Maitland Clini, I know they both do exceptional work dude. There is a guy called SIG G who is currently documenting his progress with the Maitland clinic on Youtube...worth a look imo.

Thanks Bullitnut, I'll check out Maitland clinic!

So guess nobody has had any experience with Dr Kovacheva at Harley Street Hair Clinic...

Seems strange as there should be over 3000 of her patients out there : (
