Dr. Kapil Dua Holds Court at Haircon 2017

There is no denying that the entire team of AK Clinics was behind the success of Haircon 2017, but it was the stellar leadership of Dr. Kapil Dua that made it all possible. With Dr. Aman Dua to back and support him, every step of the way, Dr. Kapil was able to ensure that every element of the planning was executed, exactly the way it should.

 

 

 

Haircon 2017 was held over three days, 24th, 25th and 26th of February 2017, which is why the presidential dinner was held on the evening of the 23rd. Once the guests had been welcomed and settled in, the conference began in true earnest, with Dr. Kapil Dua leading the charge. On the very first day, he led live surgeries, in which issues such as strip surgery dissection of grafts, FUE; lowering the transection rate were all demonstrated. As a matter of fact, in the surgery that Dr. Kapil conducted, the graft transection rate was zero! All these surgeries were relayed live to a nearby hall, because accommodating everyone in the operating rooms would not have been possible.

 

Dr. Dua also spoke at length about the seven main steps of surgery, which was followed by a lengthy question and answer session. For the very first time, there was a Coffee with Experts session, which allowed a more a detailed interaction. Dr. Dua spearheaded the talk on FUE advancement – as a matter of fact, he is presently the principal investigator on the study on the same, which is being conducted under the aegis of the FUE Advancement Committee under AHRS. The study is presently being conducted in multiple clinics and countries including India, Hungary, Belgium, Portugal and the US.

 

Dr. Dua also invested time on describing the various instruments that are used for these surgeries and how the choices are dependent on factors such as age, ethnicity, and density of hair and so on. Whether it was emceeing the gala dinners or explaining which slits to use for which surgeries, Dr. Kapil Dua proved that he is not only a jack of many trades, but also the master of everything he sets his heart on!
