YulB2
Greetings Gents, This will be my first post regarding hair transplantation and my participation. I will do the reading and studying from others here on what works and what doesn't. In processing this hair replacement concept of a donor area and a receiving area (big bald spot) it is hard for me to see how a small donor area can fill a much larger recipient area. These are the things I will hopefully understand as I go through the process. My situation is I'm 64 and have a bald dome. It doesn't seem that wide but it is substantial so I don't think I will be able to completely have it covered w/ replacement hair, maybe 2/3s of the frontal area w/ a small bald spot on the back side. Right now I am planning on using a HT doctor from either the Philippines or Thailand. I am familiar w/ those countries and the general cost of services are much lower than in the USA. I am scheduled to leave for Asia in September so this thread (I hope) will lead me to a good doctor w/ skills and integrity. So that is what I will do first, ask if anyone has any recommendations for good doctors and/or clinics in either of these 2 countries. I have heard of a few but that was a while back when I wasn't considering doing this and now have forgotten the names. Thanks and any help is appreciated. Bill - Seemiller
Yulb2, I know we spoke privately but in Thailand I would definitely consider Coalition member Dr. Pathomvanich who is performing state of the art hair transplants at his clinic. Have you consulted with him yet? Best wishes, Bill

The Youtube video is of his clinic and the Drs interview. He sounds good. I am waiting for his reply and suggestions and cost for my situation. There are a lot of very interesting HT videos on Youtube. It was very enlightening to watch a few of those.

Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted June 28, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted June 28, 2016 That was a great video! I hadn't seen that before. Yep, Dr. Path is tops in Thailand. Definitely consult with him. David - Former Forum Co-Moderator and Editorial Assistant I am not a medical professional. All opinions are my own and my advice should not constitute as medical advice.
