Mako173BSH
Hi all, 12 days post op this evening, and noticed a thick looking hair in my chicken soup! Upon closer inspection, I couldn't discern specific details- not sure if I could spot the follicle, or whether this is just a hair shaft shedding early - please refer to the photos. My questions are: How early can hairs begin to shed from the transplant site? an Does the specimen in the photos look like a full graft, or just a hair naturally shedding? Please advise Many Thanks! Senior Member rev333 Posted June 2, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted June 2, 2016 The hair you show has left behind the papilla which if it received blood supply will grow Losing the entire graft with papilla at this stage would require surgical extraction Even pulling out the hair at this stage would leave behind the papilla, that is, if it survived the transplant and received a blood source
