Help to choose a surgeon

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I didn't really know where to put this thread since im new here, so feel free to move it if it's in the wrong section, anyways, here it goes.

I'm a 24 year old male from Sweden who has decided to go for a Hairtransplant this summer.

I sent a few emails to the recommended doctors and got answers from both Dr. Erdogan, as well as Dr. Bisanga.

Erdogan suspected i needed somewhere between 4000-4200 grafts whereas Bisanga and Kyriakos Maras both recommended somwhere between 2600-3000 grafts (This is only from an online consultation though).

So my question to you guys is, does anyone have any experince with the named surgeons, and can recommend them?

Also, is there a reason Erdogan has a higher graft count than the other ones?

I know I'm in good hands no matter which one i pick, but I just need that last final push from hearing a good experience to really go through with an operation.

Oh and also, I should probably mention I have dark curly hair, that might be the decider. :P

Thanks in advance!

Sincerly Justincredible

I have no experience with Erdogan but a recent thread discussed the same thing - that he tends to have much higher graft counts than other doctors. His results seem (from the pictures) very impressive so I'm not sure what that means or if it's just his style but, of course, you have to balance using lots of grafts for thickness with holding some back in reserve for any future hairloss.

I had a more conservative doctor who used just the number necessary for a great result but no more and I'm really happy knowing I have plenty in reserve for any future procedures. It's clearly a delicate balancing act!

1,792 graft FUE with Dr. James Harris (Denver, Colorado) on April 2-3, 2015

313 graft FUE with Dr. James Harris (Denver, Colorado) on May 3, 2016 to make it perfect!!!
