Thanks Ammars.

I hope that is true although I have difficulty in believing it to be the case with the majority. For example a lot of guys that I have seen with wet hair even with an inch or so in length you can still see their scalp due to the wetness, especially at the sides. I would therefore imagine if that person had a scar it would be visible!

Chops, I am about two weeks out of my six month mark and have not cut my hair since a week before my four month. With my hair longer like it is you cannot see the scar when wet. When I was shaving down to a #2 and #3-clip you could clearly see it, although you need to remember that I was only at the one, two and three month mark.

They say between the 6 and 9-month mark the scar really disappears. I will shave my head down again to a #2 in the next month or so and let everyone know how it goes.

Chops.

I think this is a difficult question to answer. In my experience I am having a hard time disguising it. With a #5 clip it is a little bit noticeable and very noticeable when wet. I am only 4 months post op so redness is also a factor.

I think the key to this all comes down to donor density. Mine is below average so therefore the more visible scar. I think anybody with average density could defineately get down to a #3 or #4 and possibly a #2.

Hate to jump in mid-stream here...

I kept my hair scissor length long in the back until 3 months post op.

Then I went back to a #3.

In both cases the scar was never visible wet or dry.

My donor density was somewhat low - 2.2 (I think).
