Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted April 7, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted April 7, 2015 Your hair transplant surgeon will likely recommend taking Propecia (finasteride). Also, you may be advised to start Rogaine (minoxidil) one to two weeks after surgery. These two drugs are the only clinically proven medical hair loss treatments. Some may advise taking biotin or MSM. These supplements can improve hair quality but do not treat hair loss. It's always best to discuss these options with your hair restoration physician.
