Dr. Bijan Feriduni Posted March 30, 2015 Share Posted March 30, 2015 FUT performed on a 45 year old Caucasian male with: - NW III-IV vertex Class T-P - Donor density of ~90-100 FU/cm2 in the occipital donor region and ~80-90 FU/cm2 in the temporal donor regions - Hair diameter of ~50-70 microns Treatment plan: A Follicular Unit Strip procedure with 3500-4000 follicular units to reconstruct the hairline, to add density to the central core and to reconstruct the crown area. Performed procedure (March 28th, 2013): A Follicular Unit Strip Transplantation with 3811 FU: * 572 single hair FU * 2274 double hair FU * 965 triple hair FU Donor closing in double layer suture technique; Parallel incisions (single, double and triple hair units) were made in custom-sized blades technique (~Cutting Edge blades of 0.75mm – 0.95mm).
