Regular Member Quasar Posted October 4, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted October 4, 2014 (edited) Hi all, Its been 10 days since I have started Rogaine 5% and Finasteride 0.5 mg/day and Biotin 10mg. How long into the treatment should I wait before expecting any results/hair loss stabilisation and some regrowth. Can I comb my hair after applying Rogaine. How long should I wait to let it get absorbed? Also, could I apply oil to my air after a couple of hours. Will I be able to maintain my existing hair? I want to wait for at least 1.5 years before going for an HT. My age is 28, I am a Norwood 5 diffused. The minoxidil makes my hair very dry. 5 days back, I massaged my hair after 5 hours of minox application, and lost lots of hair(80-100), which left a spot on my head. The spot has grown in size. There are few thin hairs in the area. Is this the initial shed? Should I also step up my dose for Fin from 0.5 mg/day to 1 mg/day? So far, no sides. I didn't have much hair to start off with, as you can see in my profile pic. I am just hopimg this is the dread shed. But, I have still maintained my hair-line. You would have follow instructions very carefully . The norm for Min is once in the morning & once at night a few hrs before you go to bed. Wheras Fin you take that once a day only. Again you have to give it time & yes at the start you could loose hairs which was proberly going to die anyways but will return in most cases. Keep with the program & you could see gains from 3 months plus but give all the Meds the very least 12 solid months this is a life long commitment to your scalp. With Minox + Fin, can I expect to grow some thicker hair in place of the thinned out ones? I have actually lost hair from a number of places. Would love to hear from more people! Thanks in advance.
