hair shedding after 3 months of hair transplant

Hello,

I had my HT Surgery by FUE technique 3 months back. I am in propecia and minoxidil but still I am shedding in clusters almost 200-250 strands in one wash and these are my non transplanted hair at mid scalp. And I am using propecia and minoxidil from last 1 and a half years. Reasons for such huge shedding?? And will these hair grow back??

How can it be shock loss after such long time. And yes I did contact my surgeon he said this is quite rare and cannot see any reasons for it.

Agree with your surgeon because my best had a same problem and even still his surgeon can't figure it out why this happening.

I am 4 weeks post op and obviously look terrible. But I have noticed reduction in the loss of existing hair. It was extensive during week 2 and week 3. Are you noticing this from your donor or recipient area?

You could be experiencing telogen effluvium / shock loss from your hair transplant or you could even be experiencing shedding from using Propecia and minoxidil if you’ve only just started using them in the last couple of months.  That said, I recommend contacting your hair transplant surgeon and getting his or her input and reporting back to us.
