Senior Member Rick055 Posted December 11, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted December 11, 2009 I know finasteride can increase testosterone levels to the tune of 15%. That said, if one discontinues finasteride, how long is it before testosterone levels would return to baseline? Also, I took a month off finasteride because I want to donate blood and you have to be a month since your last dose of fin to do so. I haven't noticed any shedding. Think I should be OK? 1.25 mg finasteride EOD Rogaine Foam 5% QD am Kirkland minoxidil 5% QD pm Nizoral Q2W American Crew Revitalize Shampoo
Senior Member brentipold Posted December 11, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted December 11, 2009 most people return back to normal within a month, and some never do.
Regular Member Telepinu Posted December 11, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted December 11, 2009 Well, I think hair should be issue for you more than anything else. After a few weeks I think you start to notice. I dont know about the testosterone levels but I think the vast majority of people go back to normal. Senior Member Rick055 Posted December 11, 2009 Author Senior Member Share Posted December 11, 2009 I'm not so concerned about returning to "normal", I have no sides. I am specifically interested in the amount of time it takes for Testosterone labs to return to baseline. 1.25 mg finasteride EOD Rogaine Foam 5% QD am Kirkland minoxidil 5% QD pm Nizoral Q2W American Crew Revitalize Shampoo
Senior Member brentipold Posted December 12, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted December 12, 2009 well I don't think that testostrone is affected up to 15%.. I've heard is more like 5.. and its probably the same timeline of a month...
