recommended surgeons in Georgia

Recommended Posts

New to the site, and sorry I did not use the search engine. I have newborn twins at home and do not have a lot of free time away from work. Hoping someone could help me choose a hair transplant surgeon in Georgia. My hairline has been reseeding over the past 5 yrs,and it is finally time to make some changes. The only doctor that I have met with is Dr. Finger in Savannah. He uses the Neograft approach. Would love everyone's experience good and bad with doctors around Georgia

Thanks,

In Georgia i would certainly think about choosing Dr Mwamba, And hes also recommended by this forum.

Thats if your unable to travel far. If you can then please look further afield and get a consultation from at least a few more decent Ht surgeons.

Have a look on this forum for the recommended ones.

Please dont go for a unknown surgeon - spend as much time as you can looking through this forum.

You will be thankful you did ! So many others have jumped at the nearest/cheapest/most convienent Ht surgeon and regretted it after...

Dr. Mwamba is not in Georgia. He's not been there for years when he worked for another doctor as a technician. He's in Belgium now with his own very successful practice.

ptuser,

I can't stress this enough. Do NOT schedule your procedure based on having little time from having twins in the house. I understand that twins can be very time consuming but you don't want them asking Daddy why his hair looks funny in ten years. Neograft sounds great, but isn't. In fact, I visited the website for the doctor you first mentioned and as I suspected, all of the images in the before/after gallery are shared by at least a dozen other Neograft clinics so you don't know who did what as far as the results. I won't go into my opinion of the results themselves as I'll let others chime in on that point.

You need to consider traveling for your procedure or not have one at all. It is that big of a deal and you certainly don't want to go to a clinic that knowingly shares pics with dozens of other clinics all because they use the same machine. Neograft supplies these photos for clinics that do not have their own results to share. To prove it, just do a Google image search for the two sets of images I downloaded from the doctor's website and posted here...

Thanks for the review of neograft info. Did not know the pics were company pics. Will definitely do my research. The one recommended MD from Georgia also uses the neograft approach, so more research is in order

Although Dr. Mwamba is listed under Georgia on our interactive map, the address is only a consultation office. As Joe pointed out, he practices in Belgium.

ptuser,

I agree with Jotronic, Neograft gives these pictures to doctors who purchase their machine in order to show some results, considering they have NO EXPERIENCE!!! Also, Dr. Finger is now connected with Dr. Bassin, who is an ophthalmologist (go figure) from Florida who does cosmetic work and has terrible patient reviews all over the net. Patient Beware with doctors who are jumping on the Neograft bandwagon with no experience and hire techs to do all the work (if you want to check if this is true, do a Google search on independent FUE techs and read their listings. They have no shame in stating they do the surgery from A to Z, including harvesting and making sites, which is illegal for them to cut into skin). Also, they all pay Neograft, aside from the $85k cost of the machine, a $1/graft royalty back to the company. Guess who pays for that???? PATIENTS!!

There are other FUE tools that can give great results and even better than the Neograft. It's not the tool that delivers a great result, it's the DOCTOR's artistic skill that makes the difference!

You owe it to yourself to do more research and come up with better options.

Best of luck!
