Regular Member waittosee Posted June 30, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted June 30, 2014 Hi guys, I need help on deciding a HT surgeon and advice on how many grafts I would need based on the photos attached. Keep in mind that I have been using finasteride and minoxidil for 9 years now although not as regularly as it should be. For the surgeon advice, I reside in Turkey and I'm reading about Koray Erdogan and Hakan Doganay alot. I was initially looking for SMG but now I'm kinda confused since people coming from US to have surgery in Turkey. Should I stop looking further and decide on one of the docs in Turkey? Senior Member london81 Posted June 30, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted June 30, 2014 Well you are in the right place for FUE. I personally lean more towards Dr Erdogan although I do find his graft quotes quite high. You should consult with both and maybe in person if possible then decide. Good luck! Regular Member waittosee Posted July 2, 2014 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 2, 2014 Indeed Dr. Erdogan quotes was high around 3800-4200 grafts whereas Dr. Hakan quoted 2000 grafts. Of course these quotations were made online based on the photos but still gap between those two estimates are really big. Any advice?
Regular Member waittosee Posted July 5, 2014 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 5, 2014 Couldn't decide between Dr. Erdogan and Dr. Hakan. Dr. Hakan uses micromotor for extraction whereas Erdogan uses manual punch exclusively though Erdogan charges 0,5 Euro/graft more than Hakan does plus €300 for PRP. How do you guys feel about micromotors? Should I just forget about Dr. Hakan and go for Erdogan for the sake of manual punch?
