Assuming average characteristics, how dense should a hairline transplant be?

I was just wanting to know how dense a hair transplant at the hairline should be.

I personally have slightly light/normal brown hair and slightly thin hair shaft thickness and was aiming for 50-55 grafts per cm, but id just like to know what's needed to look natural for a hairline.

Well, my characteristics are very different than yours (brown skin, black, curly, thicker hair) but I received 48/cm2 and I still have to blend with my native hair, otherwise it's noticeably less dense. I'm almost 13 months post op.
