Hi there,

Whilst a poor diet and drinking habits can play apart in hairloss, ultimately it comes down to genetics, were either born to lose our hair or were not.

However a well balanced diet and drinking regime can I ly be a good thing

Johnny,

There are no clinical studies to support the notion that drinking more water has an effect on the progression of hairloss either way.

It is indeed MPB and the corresponding nasty DHT hormone that destroys our hair follicles over a lifetime.

Not sure how old you are but if you are old enough to take low does finasteride, that is the only real deterrent to the effects of DHT by successfully inhibiting it.

But it requires an examination and diagnosis for MPB by a licensed physician followed by a script for finasteride if your reside in the US.

Minoxidil is also helpful but IMHO it only rejuvenates hair follicles, it does not inhibit DHT so the detrimental effects go on.
