JZabs987
Hey everyone! I've been looking into surgical hair transplant options and have come across some youtube videos showing the FUE procedure. While it is something I am interested in, I am slightly baffled by the healing process. They punch a bunch of holes into your scalp and make it look like tire tracks, and that actually heals and looks normal? I don't get it! Does anyone know how that heals or can someone who has gotten an FUE explain this to me? Thanks.
Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted July 10, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted July 10, 2013 (edited) JZabs987, Welcome! I'm not sure what you mean about FUE extractions looking like tire tracks. It's really more of a Swiss cheese look. The thread below shows an excellent example of what a typical FUE extraction looks like immediately post-op and then 10 days later. Norwood 3 hair loss FUE transplant by Dr Raghu Reddy (1207 grafts) FUE is far less invasive than a strip procedure and the harvest sites should be virtually invisible within days or weeks.
