Regular Member cautious Posted June 26, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted June 26, 2009 Hi All, I had a hair transplant about 17 days ago & wanted to know if its safe to have a haircut yet? Ive had the tension sutures removed from the donor area 10 days ago & the rest are dissolvable. Will a haircut now risk my new grafts? thanks
Senior Member hoose Posted June 26, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted June 26, 2009 the grafts are well secured by now and you would to surgically remove them to get them out of your scalp; the donor area is obviusly very sensitive right now so tell the hairdresser to be carefu;/gentle in that area; should be fine
Senior Member Eman Posted June 26, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted June 26, 2009 A haircut should be fine. I cut the donor and native area down with a clippers and my recipient was already shaved down for surgery. If your recipient was not shaved for surgery, I would have that area cut with scissors. My initial HT thread: done and done!! Check it out...
