Dr. Bijan Feriduni Posted October 30, 2009 Share Posted October 30, 2009 FUT performed on a 52 year old Caucasian male with: - NW III vertex Class N - Donor density of 60 FU/cm?? - Hair diameter of ~60 microns Treatment plan: A Follicular Unit Strip procedure with 2500-2800 follicular units to reconstruct the entire hair line and fill in the mid head/crown area Performed procedure (March 5th, 2009): A Follicular Unit Strip Transplantation with 2925 FU * 810 single hair FU * 1620 double hair FU * 495 triple hair FU Donor closing in 1mm lower edge Trichophytic Closure Technique (double layer suture); Parallel incisions (single, double and triple units) were made in custom-sized blades technique (~Cutting Edge blades of 0.75mm ??“ 1.00mm); Dense packing technique with a density of 50 FU/cm?? in hair line and feather zone (single units), a density of 40 FU/cm?? in density zone (double units) and a density of 20 FU/cm?? in the crown area (triple units) with 495 triple units just to give a little bit more volume.
