hairneededasap Posted April 1, 2013 Share Posted April 1, 2013 I just joined and I am trying to do my research for HT procedure.I am 39 with 5-6 on Norwood scale. I have never done HT before and am trying to get educated on the topic. I have African American hair type so would like to find a great doctor who has skills in such hair (from talking to few places I have heard my type of hair curls and its important not to destroy the roots etc). I am not sure if anyone has suggestions of good doctors as I will appreciate it. So far I have been to hairclub and talked to few other online consultations. Also talked to Dr. Umar, Dr. Diep. If anyone has suggestions for African American hair types please advise and even if the places are overseas as cost is also a factor for me. Or if there is a blog / thread somewhere for African American hair results please respond back. Thanks and hope for some positive responses !! hairneededasap Posted April 2, 2013 Author Share Posted April 2, 2013 Hi Tacolinowest That is what I have heard so far and I believe because it curls the Dr. has to be careful not to destroy the roots if he has limited exposure to that hair type.
