Regular Member HairlessHero Posted March 2, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted March 2, 2013 Dear friends, If I go thru FUT for about 3000 grafts front & mid section, and can I have FUE to add more to front line and temples immdiately (say after a couple of weeks or so)? Since, the hair is shaved for FUT, so I was wondering if anyone had any experience like this? Or, could any doctors/experts provide any thoughts/suggestions on this possibility, that would be great and appreciated. Thanks.
Regular Member hairtodaygonetmrw2 Posted March 4, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted March 4, 2013 Some doctors Ive heard of recently will do both all in ONE session. I guess its called a combo procedure? It sounds interesting but high risk as it puts your body through extreme stress.
Regular Member HairlessHero Posted March 4, 2013 Author Regular Member Share Posted March 4, 2013 Thanks Spex and Hairtodayhonetomrw for your responses. But, if FUT is done front and middle section, and FUE can be (theoritically speaking) can be had in crown area in the next couple of weeks. Or, FUT for front (not hairline) and middle, and after a few weeks, get hairline and temples. I know we should not rush these procedures, but with two different areas, I was thinking this could be done (as hairtoday mentioned, as a combo procedure). If both FUT and FUE procedures are for the same area, then yes, that may not be good. But two different areas, medically speaking, what would be the downside. Thanks. Regular Member HairlessHero Posted March 18, 2013 Author Regular Member Share Posted March 18, 2013 After interacting with a few reputed doctors on this forum, the consensus developed is to wait at least 9-12 months, evaluated the results of the last procedure, and then go for another procedure if needed. Thanks.
