Bigdawg
I know it is the Christmas season but I am being scrooged! I have noticed over the past few weeks that my transplanted hair doesn't look as full and thick as it did just a month ago. I am now 9 months out from the transplant and things were looking very good with a great result. However, it seems now that the hair just doesn't look as dense. Can somebody tell me what could be going on?? I used one of the best docs and recommended by this site. Help??!!

Basically its was saying that our transplanted hair will shed periodically and then come back. You may be able to search that in this forum and find it. Also, It could simply be your perception. My hair looks thinner sometimes also. Most likely its nothing to worry about. 5700 FUE in 3 procedures with Dr. Bisanga View my patient website: http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=1874
Senior Member Cant decide Posted December 22, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted December 22, 2012 It is normal for transplanted hair to look slightly thinner at 9 months plus then it did when it was first growing out. I feel like mine was denser at 8 months as well and now at 26 months it is still pretty dense but less so but still not an issue. This is due to maturing of the hair. When it first grows out, its wild and wire like which contributes to the appearance of added density. Believe me, slightly less dense looking transplanted hair is a small price to pay for hair maturation which leads to far better managibility and a better overall look. Bigdawg
Thanks for your replies.. I agree and it may have something to do with hair length as well? My hair was longer when I thought it looked a little thinner and now that I had a haircut it seems to look better. Absolutely right... no matter what it has been a huge difference and was worth every dime!
