How to get brand name Proscar...Worried the generic won't work

Hi,

 

Today I started Proscar, generic cut in quarters. I started Rogaine Foam and Nizoral 1% two weeks ago after researching on here.

 

It seems some people believe that generic proscar does not work as well as brand proscar. My pharmacy said they did not have name brand. My pharmacy is Acme. Does anyone know a pharmacy that carries name brand Proscar that is a major US chain?

 

I am worried the generic won't work after reading some people say it didn't. I got a 6 month prescription through Medical Wellness Center online. They called it in to the pharmacy for me.

I'm a dentist who also is taking the generic form of Proscar, Finasteride, that I get from Walmart, cut into quarters. It's the exact same medicine and chemical, so I wouldn't worry that the generic may not work as well. I've been on for nearly one year with no side effects, thanks goodness, and plan on continuing finasteride therapy in the future. Good growing!
