Senior Member TommyLucchese Posted November 10, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted November 10, 2012 I think you should consult with some top doctors - in person (if possible) or via email. If the medication has slowed down your loss, you could get 1000-2000 grafts to sort out the hairline. It's not my place to say that's a possibility for you though, you need to seek the advice of a reputable surgeon. 2,000 grafts FUT Dr. Feller, July 27th 2012. 23 years old at the time. Excellent result. Need crown sorted eventually but concealer works well for now. Propecia and minoxidil since 2010. Fine for 8 years - bad sides after switching to Aindeem in 2018. Switched to topical fin/minox combo from Minoxidil Max in October 2020, along with dermarolling 1x a week. Wrote a book for newbies called Beating Hair Loss, available on Amazon
Regular Member Big It Up Posted November 15, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted November 15, 2012 Definitely talk to a doctor, a good HT doctor. I had my first one in my early 30s. I would think 24 is way too young IMO. Late 20s would be better and I say this because you dont know how far your hair loss is gonna go and how its gonna go. I lost mine by my two older brothers have lost nothing. Every family and person is different. If losing your hair is bothering you a lot try some derm match cover up. I use it in dry form everyday. Its truly remarkable how it conceals the thinness. Experience: 6 HT to date.......wish this forum was around in the 90's!
