Senior Member hair1978 Posted October 31, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted October 31, 2012 Based on my experience: Your donor area will fell numb for the first month. The first two weeks, your donor area will feel sore. When you sleep on your pillow, your head feels like a metal plate. Tingling did not occur for me. http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2294

Senior Member hair1978 Posted November 1, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted November 1, 2012 No feeling, literally. Your recipient area is numb, and continue so for maybe the next 6 months. There are slight tingling sensation here and there. This is the least of your problems. You're more concern about making sure you don't bump your head for risk of losing grafts. http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2294

I understand your concern regarding an FUE procedure. No surgery elective or triage is without some level of pain. Of course pain tolerance and thresholds are as individualistic as your genetics for hair loss. Let me ask, have you had a consultation? Has FUE been recommended for you over Strip Method. Just interested in knowing how you are pursuing you journey in enhancing and restoring your self image. Look forward to your responses. Senior Member hair1978 Posted November 2, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted November 2, 2012 For me, the most discomfort is having to sleep at a 45-degree angle. If you cannot sleep sitting up, then you'll have long nights trying to fall sleep for the first week. Sleeping on a recliner helps tremendously. After FUE heals, you'll feel no different, other then some numbness for the three months. http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2294
