Regular Member Bluebird Posted September 15, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted September 15, 2012 From my understanding shockloss is caused by trauma from the procedure. The hairs that were programmed to miniturize will never grow back, but the rest of the hair will. I have previously transplanted grafts that were done in 2002 and 2003 fall out a few days after the procedure and after 10 1/2 months have not grown back. The area of the loss is obvious and on my hair line and not all over my head. I can not find nonlinear too much about previously transplanted grafts falling out and not regrowing. The only thing I can find is the follicles being damaged and the hair not growing. Does anyone know of any reason grafts transplanted in 2002 and 2003 would have problems in a procedure in 2011? Regular Member davethehairbot Posted September 16, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted September 16, 2012 There could be several reasons. Maybe the grafts weren't taken from the "safe zone" in the back of your head and were programmed to fall out. Maybe the surgeon transacted the hair follicle.
