Regular Member aramis69 Posted September 7, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted September 7, 2012 I had HT performed just over 3 months ago, however, my donor scar area is quite tender, bumpy and a little sore in some areas. I still have scabs forming from time to time, mostly on my right side. Is this normal after three months? My Hair Loss Website
Senior Member Thehairupthere Posted September 7, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted September 7, 2012 Your scar hasn't healed completely yet, it usually takes about 6-7 months to see it flattened and pretty much at it's final stage. Soreness is also common again that will go away within the next few months. The scabs I'm not too worried about that also can happen from time to time, but if you're near your doctor it couldn't hurt going in just for a check up. I am a consultant for Dr. True and Dr. Dorin. These opinions are my own. Dr. Robert True and Dr. Robert Dorin are members of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians

Senior Member Mop Posted September 9, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted September 9, 2012 Try BIO oil. It helps the healing process. Do a google research.
Senior Member GBU Posted September 10, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted September 10, 2012 Definitely go see your doctor right away . He will be able to give you the best advice . I wouldn't do anything until that time ,
Regular Member aramis69 Posted September 10, 2012 Author Regular Member Share Posted September 10, 2012 Yes, I have BIO oil, but I'm going to wait until my scar has flattened before I start applying it. My Hair Loss Website
