Regular Member alphalone Posted May 4, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted May 4, 2012 So having started on 1mg fin two weeks ago and having experienced blue balls and finally come through it the last few days I've noticed one more thing. My morning boner is awol! I can still get an erection no problem and don't perceive any libido problems. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Did it go or did other symptoms develop? Should I persist, cut my dose or just dump it? I don't want morning wood issues today which turn into ed problems tomorrow. Any doctor input would be valuable too! Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted May 5, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted May 5, 2012 alphalone, I had the same experience for the roughly three years I took finasteride. It never affected libido or caused erectile dysfunction. Shortly after I stopped finasteride everything returned to normal. Regular Member alphalone Posted May 5, 2012 Author Regular Member Share Posted May 5, 2012 I'm reducing to 0.5 every other day. Spontaneous, night and morning erections are important for penile health. We need them to deliver oxygenated blood and I enjoy them. I hope this solves it and is an effective enough regimen.
