Minoxidil questions

1) If I start minoxidil and then stop it, let's say 6 months later: are there any reports of long-term side effects which continue after stopping the minoxidil?

 

2) I've heard that after stopping minoxidil, you will lose any hair you gained while on the medication. Are there reports of people actually losing MORE hair than what was gained after stopping?

 

Thanks to anyone who can help with this question. I already bought the Minoxidil from amazon (it was pretty cheap), but I haven't deeded to use it yet. IT would be comforting to know that if I do decide to stop using it, that I won't have to worry about permanently causing a problem.

I've heard that you'd lose all the hair that you may have gained whilst on the med if you discontinue using it.

I too buy regaine foam from Amazon if that's what you bought.

Whenever I have come off minoxidil (out of laziness!), my hair has started to fall out again, just as it was before, but it's never been shedding so drastic that it renders my hair as thin as it would have been had I never used minoxidil! I think it pauses the thinning process until you start again, just like any of the other effective treatments.
