tampa1
I had a hair transplant almost 2 years ago. I was not bald, just receding. I thought that I would be ahead of the game getting a transplant. I did one transplant and was shocked when all of my previous hair fell out on the top of my scalp after surgery. The doctor failed to mention this would happen. I was able to get a work hat to cover my barren scalp and a few people asked why I was wearing a hat... but I pulled it off without anyone knowing. The doctor then put me on a prescription of Propecia ($80 per month ouch!!) and said that any hair on the top of my head that was not a transplant would fall out. What sucks is that I could have taken a combo of Scalp Med (it really works for hair regrowth) and propecia and saved myself $10,000 on a transplant. Now I am forced to take the Propecia monthly with the side affect of a low sex drive. Since I am in sales, my hair is very important to me, but so is my sex drive... Anyone have any alternative suggestions besides two more transplant surgeries??

Senior Member Predator Posted August 25, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted August 25, 2009 I'm leaning myself out the window on this but I would agree with you about propecia, it does lead to some degree of erectile disfunction, which you can correct with Viagra, which is a killer drug for the hair My Hair Loss Website - Hair Transplant with Dr. Rahal
