Hey

I'm a 18 year old student and I have a feeling that I'm losing my hair. I first noticed it when I inspected my scalp 6 months ago, something that looked like a bald spot.

Since then, I've had a constant stream of paranoia when I noticed a hair in my hand after going through it.

Also, two friends asked me if I was going bald.. At the moment I had some gel/wax in my hair, so I don't know if I can trust their comments.

I included 2 pictures:

These pictures were taken 3 hours after I washed my hair.

Am I going bald, or not? If so, should I contact a doctor?

All suggestions are really appreciated!

badhairday,

The photos are very blurry, so it's really hard to tell. Plus, wet hair and a part always makes hair look thinner than it really is.

However, if you're concerned, it's advisable to consult with a dermatologist who can evaluate your scalp and hair under magnifcation and look for signs of miniaturization.

If you are experiencing hair loss, catching and treating it early is the best thing you can do to help save your hair. Propecia and Rogaine may become lifelong friends. But be sure to understand their limitations and potential side effects along with the benefits before committing.

Best wishes,

Bill

  • 3 weeks later...

It's very hard to tell because It's very blurd.

But maybe that is what they call Propecia. That's my opinion so don't get mad. You can research it for more info in Google. Don't lose hope! icon_rolleyes.gif
