Rogaine after HT

Hi all,

I am one month after HT and planning to start applying Rogaine soon. Although few of my transplanted hairs fell of,most of them are still in place.

Just wanted to check with you all if it is safe to start using Rogaine from one month after HT. Can you please give some advice?

I am also at 31 days and wondering if it is alright to apply Rogaine foam to the recipient area. Front and back? Will it dry out the scalp too much?

 

After laying off it a month, I almost wonder whether its worth it. How soon does one lose any retained hair after discontinuing use?

Rahal's post-op instructions (which are some of the most cautious) indicate that Rogaine can be used at two weeks after surgery, so both of you should be fine at one month post-op.

 

If you would normally apply it twice per day, I would start off with just one daily application, gauging whether it irritates your scalp too much as it might still be extra sensitive. Your grafts are fine so you don't have much to worry about.
