Hi,

Ive looked at this forum before for years but never joined until now. I wondered If I could get some advice about whatt to do.

Im 26 and have a norwood 2-3 scale hairloss starting probaly about 18 I would say. It had always been gradual, I started taking Fin about 2 years ago and it had stopped any more loss.

Ive consiedred a HT from a Armani but gladly never went through with it. I shave my head to a grade 1 but am really not sure if I should go through with getting a Ht which would add loads of confience to my life.

It would definitaly have to be FUE as shaving my head is my back up plan for future loss. Sounds stupid but today I used a marker to draw in the hairline that I kinda wanted and to be honest the shading of the area was kinda small.

What im worried about is future loss and having gaps in my hairline. I dont patricualry want to speand more money in the future so I want a win win situation basically. That being I get a HT it looks great, might lose hair in the future if the Fin stops working but worst case scanrio is that I buzz my hair to a grade 1 and it looks ok, and knowone has a clue that I had a HT when I was younger.

Believe you and me I thought about every scanrio. One thing to add is my family history of hairloss is not great.

Im fairly well educated about fue beingnot as succesfaul as FUT and Feller and Wong are among the best. The place to get it would be a fueclkinic in London where I have been before and seen the results that were impressive.

Last of all i dont want to be chasing hairloss for the rest of my life, I dont think its healty mentally for me anyway. If i can get a new hairline for now with my hairloss stops then chill out knowing that okay I might lose alot in the furute but things happen and I dont look like a freak because of it.

Rather long winded I know but kinda important to me. Id really appreciate some help guys.

Thanks

James

James,

I don't think I'm sure of what your question is. But, it sounds to me as if you are desiring to restore a juvenile hairline. I'm fairly certain that ethical hair restoration physicians are not going to recommend hair transplant surgery on a 26 year old, NW 2-3 patient.

Remember that in a best case scenario, FUE may leave very faint and virtually undetectable scarring but there is scarring and there are no guarantees as to how noticeable it will be.

Beyond that, it does sound as if you have already considered all the pros and cons.

What type of feedback are you requesting?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I'm not looking at creating a juvunile hailrine, I just am contemplating strightening my hairline out where it has receeded. Like I said my hairloss seems to be at a stand still thanks to the Fin. It would be great if I could change the shape of my hairline make it less noticebale.

However I dont want to be chasing hairloss for the rest of my like, Id like to get a HT and know that the chances of me losing more hair are probaly quite high but then knowing im not going to look "odd" if i chose not to get a future HT and just buzz my hair to a grade 1 and for it to look ok.

Hope ive explained it better

Thanks

Jmaes
