Senior Member Dan72 Posted March 8, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted March 8, 2011 Hi all, I just wanted to make a note here for others due to have staples removed, since I had mine removed this morning. For those who don't know my story, I had 2372 grafts by strip on 25th Feb with Dr. Feller. So I went along feeling a little anxious as to how the staples would feel coming out. Personally, it was really nothing for me to be anxious about since it was over in less than 2 minutes and more relief than pain. However, the tech's and Dr. Feller did comment that my level of discomfort from the staple removal was mainly due to keeping the area extremely clean. My advice to anyone would be to wash the donor area every day, and probably the best thing I did was to have a bath an hour or two before staple removal and let the donor area soak in the bath for a few minutes. This helped to soften any of the remaining scabs so that they did not pinch too much when the staples were removed. Hope this helps, http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/Dan72/albums/496 July 2002 HT #1 - Bosley NY - 1800 Grafts Feb 2011 HT #2 - Feller Medical - 2372 Grafts July 2012 HT #3 - Feller Medical - 1702 Grafts (no pics as yet)
