Regular Member Blackjack Posted February 16, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted February 16, 2011 (edited) Hi, I've been using finasteride for a little more than 2 years without any problems. But over the last 2 months, I've been experiencing weakness and cramps in the calf muscles of the legs... and also a tingling sensation in the ankles and legs below the knees from time to time. I was just wondering if this is a long-term effect of using finasteride -- mainly the tingling sensation in the legs -- or just general weakness. I have to tell you I was involved in some highly strenous physical and mental ordeal 2 months ago and even pulled a muscle in the back while trying to lift a heavy load. But I've been fairly rested since then and the cramps and tingling still persist. Edited February 16, 2011 by Blackjack
IronLionZion
It's possible these are the symtpoms of a a bulging disc in your lower back. Basically, if the disc is impinging on a nerve root you would feel pain down your leg, possible numbness/tingling, etc. A "highly strenuous" physical ordeal could easily cause this. See a doctor - he may order a x-ray, or even an MRI or CAT Scan.
