Goingstrong
I am 52 and just had my third HT of about 1000 grafts all in the the first inch of hairline, mostly temple areas . Previous 2 HT's were about 12 and 15 years ago and in the same temple areas and have held up relatively well over time, (my recent HT Surgery went well and I am seeing growth after 2.5 months). I have no thinning or bald spots anywhere else. Top of the head is relatively thick. My Dad has the same pattern at age 79. Receeded temples, but good coverage everywhere else. So my question is, do I need to take Propecia (I would rather not). Is there anything to be gained at my age and condition by starting this treatment? I do take Saw Palmetto. Senior Member haircut Posted December 7, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted December 7, 2010 I would say that this is a good question for the doctor that performed your latest HT surgery.
Goingstrong
He recommended that I start, thus my question. Curious as to any second opinions.
