Itchy Scalp (Men)!

Hey,

 

I started using finasteride 2 years ago. This past summer, I noticed the efficacy of this drug dropped considerably and so my hair started falling out again at the front (finasteride worked miracles for 2 years - I had a full set of hair).

 

I moved on to dusateride 3 weeks ago. The first week went well (no itching). After the first week, my head has started to itch so much in the places it falls out and its falling out too. If I run my fingers through it, it stops but starts again. I take 1 g a day (2 pills) of dutasteride daily.

 

What is causing this itching and will it eventually go away? Is it the immune system that is destroying the hair follicle or something along those lines. Why isn't dutaseride working? Should I give it more time or should i stop using it?

 

Please help, I don't want to lose my hair line at this age
