Hi Tyson,

Welcome to the Hair Restoration Discussion Forums. Rest assured that you've come to the right place, and there is plenty of information on this network that can help with your thinning hair.

Because of your age and description of your currently level of thinning, there are a few therapies I think you should investigate as soon as possible. The first is minoxidil (Rogaine), which is a topical treatment, and the next is finasteride (Propecia) which is an oral medication. Additionally, you may want to look into switching from your regular shampoo to one that contains ketoconazole (like Nizoral) to really help fight your loss on all fronts.

Additionally, I think you may find more helpful information at our hair loss learning center , the hair loss Q & A blog, and by using the forum search function to input keywords and research hair loss. Finally, because certain therapies (like Propecia) require a prescription and since it's best to have your hair loss analyzed by a professional, I highly recommend you make an appointment with a dermatologist or qualified hair restoration physician before moving forward. These experts will analyze your loss, determine it's cause, and help you create an appropriate treatment plan. I hope this helps! Please, continue researching and feel free to ask any additional questions. Good luck!
