Regular Member Brows23 Posted July 15, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted July 15, 2010 Please accept my apologies if this question has already been asked and answered on this site, but I was wondering when can one start using topical growth solutions such as folligen after they've had surgery? I will be 2 weeks post surgery tomorrow after having an eyebrow transplant, and even though only a handful of the grafted hairs have fallen out this week, I have experienced quite a few of my existing brow hairs shedding. Is this normal? I would like to start using Folligen to help grow them back quickly, but didnt know if it was safe to do so? Many thanks for your help! Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted July 15, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted July 15, 2010 Brows23, At 14 days after your hair transplant surgery, you should be fine applying Folligen although it is always a good idea to check with your hair restoration surgeon. Shock loss of existing hairs is perfectly natural and they should begin to grow back along with the transplanted hairs in the next 3 to 4 months.
