Regular Member lisa Posted May 22, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted May 22, 2008 I'm planning to have some plastic surgery (facial) in a couple years and would also like to get another HT done. Should I wait until after the surgeries not to have shock loss?

Bill - Seemiller
Hi Lisa, I'm not sure I understand your question. Shock loss can occur during hair transplant surgery any time hair is placed in between or around existing hair. That said, you will want to talk to your hair transplant surgeon and plastic surgeon about healing time between one surgery and the other for maximum safety and recovery. Personally, I would think it would be better to have a gap between them to allow your body to concentrate its healing properties in one place and then the other. Best wishes, Bill
