laser hair transplants

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have more information on hair transplants utilizing lasers for the recepient areas for the incisons. I read an article on the web stating that this kind of method decreases the time for transplant and has less bleeding.

Bigdaddy,

Years ago the lasers were tryed for making the recipient sites and despite the advanced sound of "laser" were found to be deficient for many reasons. I can't think of one leading clinic that uses them or would want to.

All the best, Pat

One of the problems with lasers is the fact that they burn or carterize the surrounding tissue when they make the recipient site. This results in a less than ideal environment for follicle growth because of restricted blood flow.
