taking the plunge - thank you all!

after some careful deliberation i have come to the conclusion that i am (finally) going to do something about my hairloss. i just started taking propecia and also, have scheduled an appointment with hasson & wong. the procedure will be in a couple of weeks.

 

although i have never posted here before, i have read through the forum extensively and have gained a great deal of information and encouragement from all of your posts. thank you all for the time and effort you have spent bringing solutions to others for this grievous problem.

 

i look forward to sharing my progress with you all and hopefully in turn, help others in need.

I, too, have decided to take the plunge. I finally told my husband how much this was impacting my life. I dream about it, I feel uncomfortable in social situations - I feel like everyone is looking at the top of my head. I have to believe that this is more tramatic for a woman than a man - I could be wrong! I need to eliminate this stress and continue enjoying life. I have an appointment next week with Dr. Edwin Epstein in Richmond, VA and have a huge list of questions for him. I hope he is "the one" because I'm ready to do it and move on.

thanks for the added encouragement dolphin and hairbank! its such a luxury to have a recent patient share his experience. ive read/seen so many good things of hasson & wong, it really seems a no brainer to go there. the procedure is in 1 week and the anticipation is really kicking in. i am a bit anxious to go "under the knife" but as you all can imagine (and probobly have felt), im so tired of the burdon... as 'what else' stated perfectly in her post. i feel your pain what else. time to eliminate this stress and start enjoying life! best of luck on your procedure, i look forward to keeping you all posted.
