post op and growth percentages ??

I recently read a post that said at 6 months we should be about 60% thickness, does anyone know about what is average growth for each month post op? at 4 months is it 40% five months 50%? And I understand it veries greatly from each person, just looking for average, thanks.

I remember reading a post about this but I don't know if it was here or on another forum. You might try using find and see what you come up with.

 

I'll give you my best guess juding from my first HT a little over a year ago.

 

Months 1-3: Nothing much going on. Lots of Shock loss.

 

Months 3-6: Major change. Ton's of growth.....I'd say the majority of the grafts grew during this time. For thickness, by the end of 6 months I would estimate 60%-70% thickness.

 

Months 6-9: More thickening, not much new growth at all........I'd say by the end of 9 months it was between 80%-90% for overall thickness.

 

Months 9-12: Not much change though I did notice little graft start growing toward the crown at month 11. I guess it's true crown growth does come slower icon_wink.gif.

 

I've heard from many that thickening continues all the way through months 12-14. It may, but I didn't notice it much if at all. If felt like the majority of my growth, thickness and end results were achieved by months 9-10. Just IMO.

Yes I remember seeing someone post a timeline for this. Actually for me I had a big change from 10 -12 months as far as the texuture and maturity of the hair.Right now I'm at 3 1/2 months on my 2nd surgery.. Looking forward to some BIG results
